Sommaire : The mandate of the Jewish Public Library Archives of Montreal is to collect, preserve and promote records reflecting the contributions of the Jewish community through literature, art, politics, education, and all forms of social participation. The Archives collects records in all formats from institutions, private individuals and families and organizations. In addition to textual fonds, the Archives holds a large photograph collection, a poster collection, a sound archive and a collection of antiquated books. Original material is in Hebrew, Yiddish, English, French, Russian, German, Polish, Latvian, Lithuanian, and Ukrainian. |
